comedy
short-form series | 8 eps x 14 min x 1 season

Lifelong friends Leon and Ahmed navigate the whitewashed world of film and TV acting all while trying to find their place in reality, both real and virtual.

Bit Playas

Starring and Written by Kris Siddiqi and Nigel Downer
Created by Kris Siddiqi
Produced by Andrew Ferguson, Matt King, and Tyler Metcalf

It’s a struggle being a person of colour in the biggest city in Canada, whether you’re fighting stereotypes or falling into them. It can be a lonely experience, and people of colour look to each other to find community, laughter and distraction. These children of immigrants are also of a decade when pop culture created comic book loving, video game playing, sci-fi movie watching NERDS! BIT PLAYAS’s heroes live both of these realities and reconciling their two very distinct cultures is a little hard — but hilarious.

The series debuted on CBC Gem in Canada and Fuse’s FAST Channel, El Rey Network by Robert Rodriguez, in the US.
