The story of one man’s misguided quest to conquer the world of home-shopping.

The Amazing Gayl Pile

THE AMAZING GAYL PILE probes the seedy underbelly of TV shopping, and follows Gayl’s dangerous and sexy adventures with Australian beauty expert, JD Castlemane. On a quest for fame and fortune, Gayl is constantly undermined by the ghost of his mother, the late shopping channel host, Gayle Pile Sr.

With an International Emmy nomination and multiple Canadian Screen Awards, THE AMAZING GAYL PILE set the standard for premium short-form content. The show ran for 5 seasons and was one of the longest-running Canadian digital comedy series to date. The series was EP’d by Paul Scheer (THE LEAGUE, BLACK MONDAY) and Jonathan Stern of Abonimable Pictures (WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER, CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL). The first two seasons launched on JASH - a digital platform founded by Tim & Eric, Sarah Silverman, Reggie Watts, and Michael Cera. The third season was commissioned by NBC-Universal’s comedy SVOD platform Seeso, and CBC Gem coming on board for all seasons as well. The series featured notable guests including June Diane Raphael (GRACE AND FRANKIE), Jack McBrayer (30 ROCK), Jon Daly (THE KROLL SHOW), Rich Fulcher (THE MIGHTY BOOSH), Scott Thompson (The Kids in the Hall), Esther Povitsky (ALONE TOGETHER), Linda Kash (BEST IN SHOW), and the voice of Jon Hamm (MAD MEN).
